I am trying to figure out the strategy for making a one sheet assembly drawing that shows multiple steps of an assembly with exploded views of sub sets of parts.

For example, I want Step 1 to show only part A and part B with B exploded from away from A.

In Step 2  I want to show Part A and Part B not exploded, and also show Part C exploded.

In Step 3 I want to show Part A, B and C not exploded and also show Part D exploded.

In Step 4 I want to show all the parts not exploded.

In a drawing I have brought in four model views but I can't figure out how to make each view appear the way I want.  Also I want to control the views to get the non iso views that I am manipulating in the model.

I must be using Configurations, Displays States, Hide, Suppress, and Explode wrong.  What's the correct strategy?

Thanks,

Steve
