I'm trying to learn more about cutlists to save time creating drawings of weldments. Is there any way to assign a custom property to a weldment profile file (.sldlfp) that would carry over to the part it's used in and be referenced on a cutlist?

Yes. Open the Weldment profile (*.sldlfp) file. Go to the File > Properties and add your property. I've used RawMaterialID in the past for customers so that it shows what Purchasing wants to see in ordering.
Then in the drawing, make sure you add the column to show that property. Just make sure you name the property field the same for all your Weldment profiles otherwise it will cause problems in setting your drawing cut list up.
