Can someone help me troubleshoot what I'm doing wrong?

When I switch configurations only the pattern seed moves as intended; all the patterned components remain in the old configuration position.

To rectify this I simply open the linear pattern feature manager (no changes are made to the feature's settings).  I close the linear pattern feature manager and everything is "back to normal" - that is until I switch configurations again and the pattern fails to update.

From past experience I know that circular patterns have the same display quirk.

Does anybody know if there's been a fix for this yet?
