    Is my design library incomplete?

    Tom Cates

Hello, I'm using the SW Advance Techniques 2012 manual, and am currently working on a sheet metal exercise that is telling me to drop a bridge lance into my drawing from the forming tools folder, but there is no forming tools folder in my library.  This particular manual suggests that SW would have included a handful of sample forming tools with the software to complete this exercise, but that does not seem to be the case.  Is there a design library I can download or does the software just not come with any real library tools? You can see all expanded folders in this screenshot, and it appears incomplete compared to the screenshots in my manuals.

          Tom,

          Welcome to the forum

Please make sure your design library location is established

          See the picture below

          sw-2012-designlibrary.png

          By default it should be "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2012\design library"

Please check you location and add that location

          Hope this works
