Hello,

I am trying to make a simple animation of an assembly exploding. The assembly rotates 360 degrees and then explodes. This all works fine, but when I tried to tweak the position of one of the parts in the model, the updated position did not transfer to the motion studies tab. The position of the part I tweaked was not part of the explode, it was just a small rotation of one part which I would like to have updated as the initial position in the animation. It sounds like a pretty simple/common task, but I cannot seem to figure it out.

This is what I have tried so far:

-rebuilding

-saving, exiting solidworks, reopening

-recalculate study

-replace the "move" key at the very start of the animation for this part

-move that part to the position I want as part of the animation...this was kind of a last resort but even this didn't work...as soon as it got to where I wanted it it "popped" right back to the wrong place, even though there were no more move keys after that point in time.

Thanks for the help!
