I am trying to find out if I can use solidworks simulation to calculate the deformation of Stainless steel due to thermal loads. I am going to expose one side of the plate to 1600 F and two ends of the plate are fixed.
Any Suggestions ? Tips ?
Thanks in advance.
If you apply temperature load in static study, you can get the deformation directly.
Perform a thermal analysis where you are able to apply all the thermal parameters (convection, radiation) along with temperature.
Then import these thermal loads into structural analysis by enabling the option under study properties.
