Having trouble converting this imported part into sheetmetal. Not sure if the fillet edges are causing to do so. If so, how can I delete the fillet edges before converting to sheetmetal?
I couldn't delete the filleted edges either so I created a second part on top of yours using Intersection Curve and Convert Entities to make a sheet metal part without the edge fillets. This one I could flatten, but it would fail once I added the edge fillets.
So, what you are saying is from the original part. There is no way of deleting those fillets and then convert to sheetmetal?
Right, I wasn't able to delete and fill those fillets back to square edges. I don't know what you're doing with this model, but I was able to make the flat pattern and fillet the flat edges in that state so you could go another step further and use configs. to supress the flattened edge fillet feature, fold the part and then fillet those same edges again with a separate feature. Then you can supress one or the other as needed.
I was able to convert to sheetmetal and when I did Solidworks removed the fillets automatically.
When the dialog opens for convert sheetmetal, I selected the fixed face and in the bend edges, I selected the faces that are bent, starting with the face that is connected to the fixed edge and then when you click ok, it created it for me.
Let me know if this makes sense
Use the Insert > Sheet Metal > Convert To Sheet Metal tool instead of the Insert Bends tool.
The fillets will remain in the formed part, but are not shown in the flat pattern.
I was able to convert now, but still not getting completely unfold.
Have you addressed the import errors first!
