Hi, I am fairly new to solidworks and am trying to figure out how to edit a text sketch in a part. i have the text as a cut extrude and i want to go back and resize the lettering. Can anyone help me on this?
Edit the sketch you've text in. Hover you pointer over the text until the pointer change to Arrow and A. Now double click on the text and you'll see the text property manager where you can do the changes as required.
I tried your suggestion but hte pointer doesn't change to A. I did figure out how to do it by right clicking the text and then going into properties. I am then able to edit it. Is there something in the system options that i need to change in order for your method to work?
Check the Help file on Editing the text: http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English/solidworks/sldworks/Text.htm
and see if this is what you trying to do.
BTW there is no setting for this.
I got it figured out now but just don't know why my system doesn't change my pointer to A. Think I'll reboot and see if that helps. i just installed 2013 beta. and haven't restarted yet. that might help. thanks for your help
