Smart Dimensions?

Why will the dimension in this picture (0.346) not be a straight dimension? The 0.333 dimension is how I want it to be, only in the other direction (i.e. perpindicular). I have no options of doing it this way, I cannot select which axis to run the dimension along, I cannot make it parallel or perpindicular to anything... It just takes a direct measurement at the angle you can see. AutoCAD has a special dim command to do this kind of multi-axis dimensioning, but here it is happening automatically, and I cannot opt out of it.

Yes these are not there in assembly

But you create a sketch and then dimension that.

Also the dimension you getting is because of the way you're selecting your points and then placing the dimension. You can use vertical/horizontal dimension rather than smart dimension in case you still have issues.

BTW why you're dimensioning them in assembly mode. In case you want to keep them apart at distance, then use distance mate.

The thing is that there IS no horizontal/vertical dimension. There is only smart dimension available to me. I only wish to dimension them for reference, I already did a distance mate.

This happens to me every now and then. I can usually fix it by moving my mouse around until it snaps into the "straight version" of the dimension. Hopefully you figure it out.
