Selecting an Interior Gallery as Pressure Surface

    Austin Kautzer

I work for a company that engineers hydraulic control valves, and I do FEA on the valve housings to test durability/strength. We use Pro/Engineer, but are experimenting with Solidworks. What I would like to do is: somehow select an entire interior cavity/gallery to apply a pressure load to simulate high pressure hydraulic oil presence (in Pro/E we can select a seed surface somewhere in the cavity the eminates around it until it meets a boundary surface we designate, usually on the edges). From what I can tell, Solidworks only allows for the individual selection of surfaces for pressure loads, which would be extremely time consuming for irregular surfaces. Thanks for the help!
