Calculating Surface Area of a Deformed Model

    Chuck Meas

      Hi,

I had a question on how to calculate or find the surface area of a deformed model once it has been through a simulation (loading, pressure, etc.). Is ther such a way using SolidWorks to properly find the surface area? I know going under the Evaluate tab and then to Mass Properties gives the surface area but once the model has been altered through deformation, the Mass Properties  shows the surface area to reamain constant (before the deformation). And I know the surface does not reamin constant and need to know a way to find the surface area for this, if there is a way to do so. Also, I tried using the Ansys workbench through Solidworks in hopes to find this but still have yet to find what I need. Thanks in advance.
