Decals and Renders

I'm having a problem with the decals showing up fuzzy in the final renders of an assembly. Attached is a couple pictures so that you can see what I mean.  In the actual part files the decals come out crisp and clean but when all put together they get fuzzy.

These are some of the steps I have tried:

1: updated video card, shut down computer, rebooted Solidworks

2: Tried every combination of decal placement.

3: Updated every part that I used in the assembly to have same background and settings. (Didn't know if different backgrounds were "stacked")

4: Resaved every decal to use 300 dpi, RGB, and Tiff format with alpha masks when needed.

5: Deleted existing scene and lights and added new, tried differenent backgrounds all produce same effect.

6: Perspective and No-perspective renders all produce same blur.

7: Straight side renders make decals look like they have motion blur.

Doesn't make sense to me that it would be crisp in the part drawing and not the same in assembly.  Also why some decals distort and some don't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm about to drop kick Solidworks!
