In a effort of cleaning up the vault, my work has adopted virtuallizing parts for those not included in the BoM. This has not caused an issue till recently. This assembly I am faced with has two virtual components that are being reflected in the vault tree. I open the assembly and these are showing as virtual.
I have tried saving them out and revitualizing them. I have checked for external references, and found none, but the parts are still showing in the vault and following the rev as the parent assembly is reved, so deleting or renaming them impacts my assembly.
What can I do? Any suggestions?
as i stated in my first reply at some point they weren't virtual.
because a previous revision had them as non-virtual they need to be in the vault.
the reasoning is, if you want to retrieve the as-built version of a previous revision then those files will need to be present.
you will have to delete them if they aren't needed (see where used).
you have to decide, do you need them or not? don't need 'em then delete. no other way.
