Dear SolidWorks (and anyone else that can confirm without an ounce of doubt),

Saw this today while upgrading a client to SP4.0

Won't install.JPG

As a self employed, consultant, designer, administrator, user group leader, etc., I need to know without a shadow of doubt if I should start informing my clients, and my user group base, to save their pennies due to the above message.  I just need to be accurately informed so I can convey the message for those that need to know and so there is no surprises.

It's always been known and my belief, you could install SolidWorks that wasn't supported on a machine/OS without out much problem.  However, the onus would be the on the installer if something goes wrong, not the VAR or SolidWorks.

Thanks to all that keep the forum alive and running with valuable information...wish I had more time to contribute but I do read it often.

Best regards,
