Find RPM of Turbine

I have to design a basic turbine. It is made from 10mm aluminium plate and about 250mm in diameter. A nozzle will blast air at it with a flow rate of 0.5L/s. The turbine will basicily be a disk with notches cut out of it.


I have been told the turbine is expected to spin at around 2500 RPM. I have tried working things out by hand but am getting stuck, probably due to some of my assumtions.


Can solidworks be used to find the RPM? If no maybe drag on the turbine when spinning at a certain speed so that I can work out the force needed to spin it at 2500RPM?
