Hello there,
I assume this has been talked about numerous times: Unfolding a trimmed cone for a purpose of production. Trim would be done with different surfaces, got from rotating plines (in praxis, different vessel jackets).
I would like to hear about one or two most recommended ways to get the result without "no bends found" or "geometry too complex". Are there any simple yet efficient and deep enough instructions (and above all: limitations and known issues) addressing this kind of problems? I know some basic limitations of SWX, like sheet metal should preferrably be Gaussian (line, cone), we need a straight edge to unfold, ... but there are obviously some more limitations in that field.
Thanks in advance,
Martin
How about posting an example file of what you are trying to create and unfold?
