I am opening some assemblies that reference some library parts in other directories that have the READONLY attribute set. Just today I am getting a message that says the library part "is not available for write access. It must be made available for write access for conversion purposes." The assembly opens but the library parts are suppressed.

They are not older versions. If I open the library parts I get the expected message that the part "is not availalbe for write access. Would you like to open the file with read-only access?" I open them read-only and then open the assembly and everything shows up as it should.

I have restarted my PC and it still happens. I have the "don't prompt to save read-only referenced documents" option checked and the "Open referenced documents with read-only access" option unchecked. These have not changed since when things worked properly. I am using SW 2011 sp5.

Has anyone seen this before and know how to fix it?
