Hi,
I want to do a motion study with my rope-robot assembly. Therefore I have 8 engines which should be connected to a moveable plattform via ropes (see the attached assembly). I can control these engines with the LabVIEW-interface. But to drive a plattform with these engines I need a corresponding connection to each other. Still I don't know how to create a rope (or something like that), that I can connect all motors via the plattform. So is there a way to move a plattform via these engines?
I would be deeply greatful for an answer!
Thanks
Reiner
Are you trying to create an animation or an analysis?
If you are creating an animation, you don't use the ropes to actually move anything. Instead you move the components with mates or keypoints and then create the ropes as in-context features that adjust themselves based on the distance between components.
If you are trying to do an analysis where you are trying to use the ropes to move the components and then determine the foreces, acceleration, etc., I don't think that you can do it, but I'll leave that for one for the analysis experts to comment on.
