Hello,
This is my first post, I've been struggling with this drawing for quite a while and am I hoping someone can help. It's of a large, complex part (235 MB) with 7 different configrations. The drawing is 8 sheets with the last 2 detailing 3 configs on each, which happen to be the sheets that are giving me the headaches. I only have some note changes to complete on sheet 7, which makes it that much more frustrating.
What happens is I've been forced to open solidworks first, then file>open, choose the drawing file, and choose to only open one sheet at first (If I just regularly open the drawing with all sheets activated at once, solidworks locks up and i'll have to force quit). Once I open that one sheet, I go through every other one and activate/load them one by one, until I hit either sheet 7 or 8, and the drawing crashes. Sometimes one of these 2 sheets will open up fine, sometimes not, but always ends up locking up anyways once I try to activate/load the other of the two.
I cannot save-as either without having all sheets loaded. Sometimes the drawing just locks up and I'll force quit or I'll get one of a number of different error messages like "unexpected file format" or one that says solidworks cannot allocate enough memory (with no other programs running), at which point I keep clicking retry until I just hit cancel and solidworks shuts down.
I've tried to defrag my computer a number of times and used solidworks RX to clear out all of the other temp directories, etc.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm afraid it may be a corrupted file and may have to send it out to solidworks support somehow, but if there's anything else I could try then I'm all ears.
I'm running solidworks 2010, SP4 on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.
