Sorry for asking question on older SW version (2007) but haven't upgraded.  Anyways here goes.

When opening an assembly, some components, but not all components, are prompted with the following message

"...not available for write access.  do you want to open document(s) read-only?"

Why does SW prompt me with this message?  I am not interested in opening any referenced files, thus my answer is NO.  I realize all I need to do is click no but my real questions are Why SW is even asking? and Why only certain components and not all?

Is there a setting in SW to turn off this prompt?

I do not want to open referenced documents read only, I only want to open the assembly I selected.

Thanks, Tim...
