any body have a easy way to represent a piece of perforated or expanded metal. as you know trying to model a piece is just crazy. any ideas out there?
My method is just showing a small corner section that will allow me to show the scale and orientation (when necessary) of the pattern. The material specification will then note the proper name, style, open percentage, etc.
thanks bernie, thats a great soloution.
Have you tried the Appearances > Miscellaneous > RealView Only > Cosmetic Hole Pattern?
Or one of the options in Appearances > Miscellaneous > Plastic > Mesh
I HAVE TRIED THAT METHOD BNUT IT DOESN'T CARRY OVER IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A DWG........OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
The appearance should carry over if you use "shaded view" on your drawing.
You can always use the 'section' option view I presented above and use a configuration as well. The resources required for the configuration can be extensive at times though.
