Hello, I am trying to create a bend plywood chair in solidworks 2011. I have two seperate oval shapes as illustrator files. These are the exact dimension I want the final chair to be. I have imported them each as seperate files into solidworks. What I need to do is give each one a thickness, and then add a compound curve. In the end I am looking for a part that started with the dimension of my original oval, has a 3/4" thickness, and is curved. Is there a way to add curvature to a solid disk? Or should I try to curve the oval shape first, and then add dimension to it? I have attached a picture of a chair with a similar base.
