    EPDM and Tabulated Drawings

    Kevin Stickels

Our company has decided to migrate from Pro-e, Agile, and Product Center to SW and SW EPDM. Many, many of files are tabulated drawings. One of the workflows in EPDM will be ECR/ECO/ECN and I am looking for best practices in how to handle tabulated drawings/ design tables etc in the EPDM. I've seen some older posts but wanting to know if any of you all have had in depth experience in this? I want to make sure when the questions arise, I have at least some ethereal knowledge of possible solutions...

Design tables make configurations, configurations are fully supported, so you should have no issue there.

Most people use virtual items as children of tabulated drawings, create the virtual item and paste it as a reference. Admitting it gets a bit tedious if you have many....named BOMs is also a good solution.

I ended up writing a little application that would go through the table in the slddrw/dwg and keep the attached virtual items correct.
