Just released a tutorial series (2.5 hrs) on building very organic shapes utilizing Sub-Division Surface (SDS) modeling and importing into Solidworks via Parasolid format.
The gas tank was built in modo using SDS modeling. This modeling paradigm is like modeling in clay. The tank was then imported into Solidworks were cuts, fillets, surface offets and other solids functions were applied.
Finally - I reimport the tank back into modo for a visualization.

If you plan on purchasing the Power Sub-D NURBS plug-in from Luxology - DON'T BUY THIS as it comes free with that plug-in.
