For the upgrade of EPDM and Solidworks, our VAR advised us to upgrade EPDM first and then Solidworks. EPDM installs 32 bit eDrawing professional. Last year, we noticed that when we installed 64 bit Solidworks (new installation, we keep the old installation), eDrawing installed from Solidworks wiped out the eDrawing that was installed from EPDM.
Is there any conflict between eDrawing from EPDM and eDrawing from Solidworks?
This year, we upgraded EPDM to 2012 SP 2.0. eDrawing 2012 SP 2.0 had a bug and our VAR gave us a hotfix to apply. The eDrawing bug was corrected after applying the hotfix programme. Then we installed Solidworks 2012 SP 3.0. This time, eDrawing 2012 SP 3.0 was not installed at all becuase of the hotfix that we have applied. So, we are using eDrawing 2012 SP 2.0 that was installed from EPDM.
Can anyone explain the relationship between eDrawing from EPDM and eDrawing from Solidworks?
