I've seen a couple of posts on this but no solution (and maybe there isn't one).  Whenever I use the hole wizard on 2012, and select the face to place the hole (the face turns blue), then position a hole, the seleted face turns a somewhat transparent black, which is obviously really annoying considering any dimensions are black.  This never happened until I upgraded my RAM and hard drive recently, and reinstalled all my software and lost all my settings.  The video card is still the same card as it was before the upgrade, so somewhere something got changed to make this happen with the hole wizard.

Any ideas or fixes?
