I need to convert legacy Inventor drawings to a usable form.
I do not have access to Inventor and I need to convert .IDW drawings to solidworks drawings.
I would not mind an extra step of converting to .DWG or .DXF first.
What version of Inventor and what version of SW are we talking about?
I ask because I am pretty sure that SW can call up Inventor drawings directly. Select the down arrow in the open dialog window under file type.
Another thought is Autodesk has a free download software called DWG true view. If you down load this you might be able to callup your Inventor files then convert them that way.
