Equations in Assemblies

OK, to clarify, An assembly design table can set the value of an assembly dimension (such as a sketch, assembly cut, pattern or distance mate dimension). An assembly design table can also specify the configuration of a component part or subassembly. An assembly design table can not, change the value of a dimension in a part. Only part-level designtables can do that.
That being said, you can specify that an equation is active or inactive in a specific configuration from the equations dialog. Take a look at the 'configs...' button. The functionality is the same for assemblies and parts.
