Hello All--
I am trying to create a connection with two ferrules and a gasket between them. We use a sanitary clamp to secure the tubing. I can insert one ferrule and a gasket, but I am having trouble with inserting the second ferrule. When the second ferrule is inserted, It snaps incorrectly. Does anyone have some suggestions? I am using Solidworks 2012 sp 2.0.

Hello Chris,
This is the way I do it. Make a separate assembly and add your 2 ferrules and gasket and mate them together in the proper orientation. Create a route point using the route point of the gasket. Create 2 connection points using the connection points of each ferrule. Then make a design table so you have all the sizes that you will require. You can use this assembly as a library assembly and insert it as many times as you want (you can also add your clamps to this assembly so they get included into a bill of material).
Another way is to add 2 connection points to the ferrule and to the gasket (MAKE SURE THE ROUTE POINT IS IN BETWEEN THE 2 CONNECTION POINTS) then drop all 3 into a route with some space between them then right-click -> remove pipe on both sides of the gasket.
Hello, could you please share your tri clamp routing assembly component via email. I need it much, because we use only sanitary fittings. I have tried several times to create a routing component (tri clamp) with its ferrules and sealing, but without success. So if you share it with me I will be able to add it into my routung library and use it. Or if you do not want to share it, please can you show me on a video how to do it.

Hello, I use butt welded pipe and fittings so I do not have any tri clamp routing assemblies to send. If you want to upload a couple of your parts I can help you make a route assembly with them.

In the enclosed file you will find my triclamp ferrule which I have created with its design table from DN15 to DN125. I would like to use it as a routing component in my routing library. Also I would like to use drag and drop function under routing and to fits automatically.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Ok, I have created a triclamp (only one ferrule) with its design table (from DN15 to DN125). I want to use the ferrule when use the piping feature and start drag and drop routing.
