    "Value" SW machine

      Hi all,

I teach SW training and I am looking to build (or purchase) a $800 computer to designate for training.  I have built 2 computers before and have a reasonably good understanding of what type of parts need to go into it, but I would like to know if someone else has built a machine like this and has had good results.

Here is the job that the machine has to do:

      Must function quickly.

      Must be stable.

Must run Solidworks and all add-ins.

      Must run simulation.

and finially it must function as a server for EPDM.

I would like the machine to have a 120 GB SSD (fast boot and stable) and a good workstation grade graphics card.  RAM and spool up storage space are so cheap now that I don't really care about them...so I'm just looking for a proven graphics card, motherboard and processor combo.

I saw a San Disk SSD on tiger direct for $140, that sounds like a good place to start.

I'll stop talking   any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!!
