I need .XXXX in my design table. It is cutting it off to .XX.
What setting is this?
Thanks
Tim
the design tabe is in excel, so you use its "format cell" command.
FYI you have all the functions you would have in excel and you can open it in excel (edit in new window).
I did the "format cell" and its still rounding off to .XX00.
I'll look a bit deeper into it.
ok - the next place I would look would be in the units settins in the document properties
Jeremy,
I checked that too. This is driving me nuts!
can you replicate the behavior on a new part?
can you post the offending part?
I can't post the part, sorry.
My VAR is looking at it now.
so you haven't been able to reproduce the error with a new part (that could be posted)?
I make money desinging stuff. Not being a bug research guy for solidworks.
Well its on to its 3rd day with the VAR..... I love paying for support!!!!
Tim, when I want to guarantee a calculation will render a certain number significant digits, I'll use the text() function to drive the format.
(for example text(pi, "#.0000") will return 3.1416
Oh, one last thing. There was an issue with configuration publisher truncating design table values. I reported it back in 2010. I'm not sure if it's been fixed or not.
Solidworks has offered me a hotfix for this problem, FYI.
