I have been using SW for quite a long time +10 years. In every iteration I seem to always get into issues with the toolbox. My current company only uses a few hundred hardware items and what I would like to do is find a relatively simple way to break all the toolbox hardware for these items into separate sldprt files that we can use in a design libray instead of toolbox. I want to ultimately maintain the design library with our part numbered hardware with the specific materials, finishes, etc. for each piece. Any direction would be appreciated

You can do this easily by getting into the Toolbox Settings configurator and clicking on tab 3 - User Settings. You'll then want to click one of the two radio buttons and enter a save location in the field as shown in the image below. This will create the files as stand-alone entities that you can then do with as you wish.
