Detached drawing has been a tool available in SolidWorks for many years.  It allows drawings to be opened and used without the need to immediately load the associated model or assembly.  The idea is that you can load a drawing much faster when you don't intend to make any changes to it.

My question is, do you use Detached Drawings? If so, how?  If now, why not?
