I would like to move a file during a transition workflow, without lost the history's file.
Do you have an idea to perform this ?
thank you in advance for your help.
You intend to move the assembly / other file from one folder location to other folder location ?
it's exactly that I want to do.
You can use dispatch to accomplish this ! Could you kindly let me know more about it ? I can suggest options based on this.
I don't find a command in the dispatch to realised this action. I have find "copy file" but not "move file in another folder".
My need is very simply: when the file change of state, it must to change of folder.
Could you please explain your suggestion to realise this with the dispatch ?
thank you in advance.
You are right Ludovic,
This cannot be accomplished using the dispatch. I over looked Move Folder command and understood that as move file command.
After your query, i gather that we need to write a custom add-in by using api IEdmFile6.move
Please refer the API Programmers guide.

Thank you for your help.
I am going to the API Prorammers guide to try to realise it.
With Dispatch, you have Copy File and Delete File. Use these together to create the 'Move File' functionality.
IOW, copy file A to file B, then delete file A.
We would loose the history of the file, when we copy and paste it into vault !
The idea is to retain the history and just move the file.
