I want to do this to show complete assembly but to differentiate what someone else is quoting for.

Expand the view in the drawing feature manager and right click on the part you want to show in phantom. Select "Component Line Font"
Right-click a component in a drawing view and select Component Line Font.
Now set the visible edges to "phantom". Select "From Selection" or "All view" as required and you're done.
Also, take a look at changing the display states of each individual components.
Sounds like you're asking if there's a way to make SW automatically show things phantom if they are not shown in the BOM. There isn't one. You'll have to use the manual methods per D-pak and Scotty Mac.
