One of our workstations is failing and we are going to replace it with a new workstation.  Currently we are running SolidWorks 2010 on Windows XP 32 bit. We would like to get Windows 7 64 bit on the new PC so we can take advantage of the extra memory. My question then is: can we run the SW2010 32 bit on the new workstation with the 64 bit OS?

One possibility would be to install the 64 bit version of SW2010 on the new workstation but can files created on that be opened and edited on the other 32 bit systems?

Thanks,

Steve
