universal color replacement?

I'm working on renderings of a large, imported assembly. I think I've worked through most of the color management issues, so that I've learned enough to keep things under control. I find, though, it would be very handy to be able to replace colors in assembly, such that if I assigned a particular color to various bodies and surfaces of a hundred little components, I could then change that color, and all the little places I applied that color would change together. I am used to doing such things in Adobe Illustrator, and it would handy here. Any way to set up and do such a thing in SolidWorks?

Thanks
