I'm wanting to do a simulation which involves a nozzle tube and a mounting bracket, and a force acting at the end of the nozzle tube. The only stresses I'm concerned about knowing are the ones within the mounting bracket. Is there any way of only displaying those stresses and not the ones within the tube? I was also wondering how to find the local stresses at various positions across the piece.
Hi Dan: Normally you can right click on a component (in the FeatureManager tree of SolidWorks, or in the graphics area) and "hide" the component. Next, regenerate the stress plot. (you will likely have to toggle the "hide" and "show" state of the stress plot by right-clicking on the plot item in the analysis tree, and choosing the command "hide", and then do it again and choose "show"). Please let me know if that works. -Tony
