Updating links in design tables.

I have an assembly template that contains several components that are each controlled by design tables. These component design tables are all linked to a single master excel spread sheet. Changes to this master spread sheet update the components with no trouble.

The problem comes when I copy the folder containing this assembly and spread sheet from my desk top to a different directory on a server. The links don't update to the new location but continue to reference the original master spread sheet on the desk top.

How do I get the copied assembly and component design tables to re-link to the associated spread sheet located in the corresponding folder?

The only way I know that works is to manually open each individual component, open the design table and change the source to this new location. This can be very time consuming when several components are involved.

Is there a macro that I could use that would automate this task or am just going at this all wrong?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
