New Computer Woes

I have been "upgraded" with a new system after 3 years, and I don't know if I should be thrilled or not.

I have been running some benchmarks between the 2 machines, but they do not appear to be a huge difference.  The solidworks benchmarks utility is giving me mixed results, and the punchholder just hangs up at the pattern feature.

Old system:

XP64 Pro

Dell Precision T7500

(2) Nvidia Quadro FX3800

Xeon E5530 2.4Ghz

6.00 GB Ram

Solidworks 2011 SP 4.0

New system

Win7 64 Pro

Dell Precision T7500

Nvida Quandro 4000

Xeon E5645 2.4 Ghz

12.00 GB Ram

Solidworks 2012 SP 1.0

We do complex parts, with lots of free flowing surfaces and fillets.  Not many large assemblies.  At times we work with laser scanned surfaces.

What should I be expecting with this new setup?  Also any thoughts on files just hanging up?
