Good morning folks,
Maybe I'm missing the obvious, but I am trying to select a mass of parts in the feature tree, all of which are the same part names spread throughout the assembly, to hide/suppress. Is there an auto select tool or some way to recognize like parts and highlight them in one operation? I have been selecting one at a time for now, there's got to be a more efficient way. Any advice is appreciated.

As Jeremy said you can try to filter the feature tree, but this will not select the items, it will just hide the rest. You will have to select them with a box, so this workflow is easy enough.

Another option you have is using the advance selection to select components based on specific criteria: name, custom property, mass and so on.

On top of what Alin says, there is a tool called Assembly Visualization. Tools - Assembly Visualization.
not that I know of, but if you spend the time and reorder your assembly where they are in a line next to each other it would be quicker, unless they are in sub-assembies, then slow and go.
Also you could make a configuration of the assembly to do this for you.
