Applying the Mirror tool to a body creates a mirror copy rotated 180 degrees about one axis.
Assembly holes cut in the body appear on the wrong side of the copy.
There is no Mirror event in the Feature tree.
I expect different.
Check the Setting Orientation
I've never heard of that kind of problems when using the mirror command in a part. Can you post the part?
Here is the image which the forum software would not upload yesterday. The red planes are "mirrors" of the green planes.
From Deepak's clue I discovered that, having selected the Mirror tool, and selected the body to mirror, I must then confirm all this by selecting the check box beside the name of the body I have already selected to mirror.
I guess this provides flexibility for advanced users, but at the expense of simplicity for newbies. ( If I had learned this at a training course in 2008, and not used it till now, then I would certainly have forgotten it.)
OKing the property manager in the second image produces the result I expected.
Upload failed again, but al least the text window worked properly this time. Try again please Greg.
I am now OK, but future readers of this forum will not learn much from this discussion without the images.
