HOW TO TRANSPOSE BOM AUTOMATICALLY IN SOLIDWORKS?
FOR EXAMPLE
ITEM NO DESCRIPTION MATERIAL QTY.
1 NOZZLE 1
2 FLANGE 1
3 BOLT 4
4 NUT 4
5 GASKET 1
NEW bom needs transposed like,
ITEM NO 1 2 3 4 5

The BOM's are and cannot be configured to look like that, but you can export a SW BOM
into an Excel format and bring it up into Excel and transpose it there. Then reimport that Excel BOM
back into SW. Understand that when you bring it back in it will no longer be parametric.
I ALREADY HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS YOU SAID, IT IS TOO SAD TO DO IT MANUALLY WITHOUT DATA LINK.
I agree. I think there was an idea just prior to SWW2012 that suggested more versatility in the BOM
structure. Maybe you can place an ER to further this point.
It could be done using the API. You would read the info from the BOM and put it in a General Table.
