Dell Workstation - what can I improve?

    Tadeusz Sliwinski

      Hello.

      I'm working on Solidworks 2012.

      Spec of my workstation:

Operating System                              Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3

      Motherboard:
        CPU Type                                      DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3000 MHz (9 x 333)
Motherboard Name                              Dell Precision WorkStation T3400

System Memory                                 3328 MB  (DDR2-667 ECC DDR2 SDRAM)
        DIMM1: Samsung M3 91T2953EZ3-CE6              1 GB DDR2-667
        DIMM2: Samsung M3 91T2953EZ3-CE6              1 GB DDR2-667
        DIMM3: Samsung M3 91T2953EZ3-CE6              1 GB DDR2-667
        DIMM4: Samsung M3 91T2953EZ3-CE6              1 GB DDR2-667

      Display:
Video Adapter                                 NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700  (512 MB)
3D Accelerator                                nVIDIA Quadro FX 3700
Monitor                                       Dell 2208WFP (Digital)  [22" LCD]

If I buy (i.e.) Windows 7 and replace 4 dimm's (from 4GB to 8GB - will be good result in performance of SolidWorks?

      Any tips?
