The Applications Specialist supports, promotes and improves the use of engineering software in order to meet Company objectives. This role is designated as the Company's expert in assigned software and trains users on computer software. The position also modifies software processes through the use of macros or other programs to make the software more effective.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
3-5 years of experience in a design engineering position preferred.
Ability to proficiently operate AutoCAD, Solid Works and Enterprise PDM programs. Experience with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel and Access.

Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.
Ability to provide accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.
Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge in the design-to-manufacturing process in order to fit software into the areas to conserve time and prevent error.
Ability to inform external and internal customers on a sales level to demonstrate the benefits of conserved time and error prevention.
Ability to efficiently design software work for the engineering and manufacturing staff.
Ability to teach computer programming capabilities to internal and external customers.
Ability to evaluate the future markets for changes that will enable more efficient and faster design software processes.
