I have an assembly drawing in which I'd like to show one component that has shading (to indicate a rouch surface...this is for a patent drawing).  See the attached for an example (the top portion has no shading, but the bottom portion...which is actually a different component than the top portion....does).  This is a cheat as I drew a sketched perimeter and used the Area Hatch/Fill command.  It works fine on this particular view, but not so well on others.  What I'd like to do is find a way to make a specific component of the assembly have this sort of shading, and for it to remain in tact no matter what orientation I rotate the drawing view.  Any suggestions?Untitled-1.jpg
