SW should not do that. You can overwrite the descriprion and it should stick. I do that often. Currently using SW2011 SP5.
What version and SP of SolidWorks are you using?
Can you post and example sldprt and slddrw file for us to try?
I'm using SW2012 x64 SP1.0
For now, I'm not using a hole table for those kinds of hole.
Here is a simple part which has the problem. It only seems to happen when the hole has two chamfered edges.
Also, here is a drawing of the part showing that I can edit and remove the text for hole A1 but not for B1.
I agree with Anna. That shold not do that. After breaking the you can relink it,
but it should not do that automatically.
As a side option, you can create a general table and manually type in the info.
Probably not your first choice I would guess.
I know that this is old topic but i had same problem and couldn't find anything useful on internet.
You can customize hole descripton by editing calloutformat.txt file that can be found in SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\lang\english
This txt file contains all Hole Wizard description and atributes that can be translate even on other language.
Also it is very important that your location in System Options>File Locations>Hole Callout Format file is set up to calloutformat.txt location.
