At first I thought it might just be an issue with my computer.  Now I have tried this on two computers.  Both running Windows XP and Solidworks Premium 2010.

This is what happens:

With the drawing file open, I click on "Save As" and then select PDF as the file type.

"High Quality" is NOT checked under options.

The drawings have been "regenerated" so I don't think it has anything to do with the rendering issue people have mentioned

A window pops up and asks you to select the pages you want saved, I select them all and click OK

The flashes through each page and you get the hour glass

This goes on for several minutes and nothing else changes

When I open windows task manager, it lists Solidworks as "Not Responding"

It's a 13.4 MB drawing file with 10-11 tabs/pages.  The parts themselves aren't all that complex.  Basic sheet metal parts, one part per page...not complex assemblies.

I've called our IT department, but of course they are blaming in on Solidworks, which they don't support.

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

I can't imagine the file is too big to save as PDF
