i have a bubble in a stack that became unattached and i want to reattach. is there any way to do that other than deleting and adding again?
Right click on the balloon that has become detached and select 'reattach'. Then click on the component that you want it to refer to and it will update.
I don't think so. At least I've never been able to.
Not sure how it became unattached. But what you can do is RC on the existing balloon stack and select
"Add to stack" and create another balloon and delete the old one. There is no harm in doing this.

It happens to me all the time. Changing or replacing components will do it.
Makes sense. I can see that now.
Thanks Levi, but that option wasn't available in 2012 when this question was posed.
I often try to go back to old posts to update them on current functionality. But, it isn't easy to catch them all. Levi, thank you for covering this one.
Ya, I figured it probably was not available, but I found this thread because I ran into the same problem while using Solidworks 2015.
I managed to figure it out and decided to share the solution in case anyone else encountered this problem in a newer version of Solidworks.
OMG, it cannot be that simple. Thanks
...and you're right Glenn, but it's there now
