I am attempting (so far unsuccessfully) to run stress analysis on a complex case assembly by simplifying it down to just the inner frame to start out with. My strategy was to suppress the features I wanted to exclude from the study in the model itself assuming that simulation would automatically exclude those suppressed features from the study. I appear to have been mistaken as all of the parts and subassemblies that i suppressed show up in the Parts section of the Simulation Tree.
Can someone please tell me that there's a way to have suppressed features automatically excluded from the study? I don't want to have to go back and exclude all those parts/sub-assemblies from the complete case... But I will if that's the only way to go about it.
Adrian,
I also work with large assemblies with hundreds of parts that I suppress for analysis purposes. So far, I haven't seen the problem you describe. Just wondering - any chance that there's a different configuration coming into play? You've probably already looked into that already - sorry I can't be of more help.
